UK BBQ Mag – A Fantastic Read!
UK BBQ Mag is edited by Marcus Bawdon @devonwoodsmoke who also runs the CountryWoodSmoke website. Day-to-day Marcus offers up some great BBQ tips and recipes (you really need to try his BBQ Scotch Egg recipe).
At the time of writing Marcus (and his editorial team) had just released the 4th quarterly issue of the free UK BBQ Mag. As always, it has a great mix of articles from reviews on BBQ equipment, news from the BBQ world, recipes and features on BBQ teams. The recipes are generally provided by guest contributors and this one was no exception with great recipes for Partridge, Pigeon and Venison.
Something for Everyone
The magazine has something for everyone, from the BBQ novice to the BBQ obsessed (like me!). It has the right mix of interest articles, reviews and recipes and since the first issue I have always looked forward to the next one being released. There are some adverts in here but they no not detract at all from the great content.
Using the e-magazine format allows the embedding of video. I find the video tutorials useful especially when trying to do something for the first time. In this issue there is an article on making your own pizza bases, which includes a ‘how-to’ YouTube video.
Marcus clearly has a passion for BBQ, which is evident from reading his website and Twitter account. This publication reflects that further. I love the way he introduces new foods to the grill and publicises what is possible.
This is a must read if you like BBQ. Even if you don’t read every article in-depth there will be something in here that grabs your interest.
After this publication I will certainly be experimenting with some game meats over the coming months and will be counting the days down to the next issue.
